Performativní intervence se sochou, asambláži a instalací nabízejí podle Martína Núñeze (*1974 Mexico) poetické, magické a surrealistické interpretace. Pro Martína jsou objekty a specifické materiály obývány duchy, kteří fungují jako protagonisté v širším příběhu.
Jeho dílo zahrnuje také intenzivně barevné a idiosynkratické obrazy, které lze vnímat v souvislosti s tradicí mexického surrealismu a folklóru. Tento aspekt Martínovy tvorby ji přivádí k zajímavému srovnání s tendencemi magického realismu přítomnými ve středoevropském regionu minulého století.
Pro výstavu v galerii Luxfer Martín vytvořil obrazy, instalace a performance, kde se naše současná realita prolíná s fantastickým a magickým světem.
Martínovo umělecké dílo lze také vnímat jako překrývající se skateboardovou kulturu a podnikáním. Lúdica, jeho vlastní značka skateboardů, je ukázkovým příkladem toho, kde se rozdíl mezi skateboardingem a
současným uměním stává nerozeznatelným.

In the sculptures and installations of Martín Núñez (*1974 Mexico), poetic, magical and surreal interpretations derive
from his performative interventions with these material assemblages. For Martín, objects and specific
materials inhabit a certain spirit which acts as protagonists in a larger narrative.
His work also incorporates intensely colorful and idiosyncratic paintings which can be seen in connection with
the tradition of Mexican surrealism and folklore. This aspect of Martín ́s work bring it to an interesting comparison with tendencies of magical realism present in the central European region of the last century.
For the exhibition at Luxfer Gallery Martín has developed paintings, installations and performance, where our present reality merges with a fantastic and magical world.
One can also see Martín ́s artistic ouvre as superimposed on skateboarding culture and entrepreneurship.
Lúdica, his own skateboard brand is a prime example where the distinction between skateboarding and contemporary art become indistinguishable.
